Ghana

The University for Development Studies entered into an agreement with the Galilee International Management Institute (GIMI), based in Israel, to undertake a joint medical programme to provide quality teaching and learning in the area of medical training to students within the West Africa sub-region and beyond. Graduates that attended the inauguration in Ghana, with HE Ambassador

A Seminar on Infections Diseases was arranged and delivered by Galilee Institute, in response to the Ebola Crises. The Network Representative who facilitated the programme was GIMI Graduate, Mrs. Adelaide Akowuah Bunatal.  The two-day seminar was held between 17th and 18th December at GIMPA in Accra. The Director General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) Dr. Ebenezer Appiah-Dankyirah, also a graduate of GIMI, expressed the hope that the seminar would bring out best practices from across the world to help informed decisions related to the management of infectious diseases in the country. http://graphic.com.gh/news/general-news/35669-seminar-on-infectious-disease-opens.html

The Seychelles

Livestock farmers from throughout Seychelles took part in a week long agribusiness training programme conducted in Seychelles by facilitators from the Agriculture and Environment Training Centre of Galilee International Management Institute. Read more >>>

Our Sympathies and Condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of GIMI Graduate Dr. George Liabwa, Provincial Medical Officer for the Northern Province of Zambia who passed away on the 10th of November, 2014. Thoughts and prayers to you all at this sad time.

Mr. Thomas Kaydor Jr., from Liberia, on the publication of his book: Liberian Democracy: A Critique of the Principle of Checks and Balances by Thomas Kaydor Jr.

Mr. Peter and Mrs. Betty Chege (both are graduates of GIMI).  They combined their experience in Israel and have created a 10 acre farm in Nyeri County, Kenya. Professor Hamza Mani Bello upon his promotion to Professor at the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. Professor Bello, is also a successful farmer, now producing over 200 bags of rice, maize, sorghum and cowpea per season.
