GIMI President, Dr. Joseph Shevel was invited by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to give a lecture in Abuja. He lectured on the structure of universities emphasising that Universities are no longer quiet places to teach and to conduct research as in past centuries. At present and in future years they are and will be big, complex, demanding and competitive businesses.
In addition, the presentation emphasised the importance of investing in education and especially in higher education as a means for economic and social development.
