Dr. Joseph Shevel, President of Galilee International Management Institute and Admiral (Ret.) Shabtai Levy, Head of the Port and Shipping Programmes at the Institute, participated in a meeting in Ramallah, Palestine with senior Palestinian officials, planning the next steps for civilian action towards peace.

Mr. Youssef Ideiss: Minister of Waqf and Religious Affairs was present at the meeting together with Mr. Mohammed Al-Madani, who is responsible for discussions with Israelis.

The agreement is based on the experience in South Africa where the public pressure succeeded in convincing the government to end the Apartheid and to sign a peace and reconciliation. A similar approach was implemented in Northern Ireland and led to peace treaty.
