07/02/2023 | Uganda Prisons Service sends senior officers to train at GIMI

Dr. George Muge, Commissioner of Prisons ICT from Uganda Prisons Service (UPS) led a delegation of 10 senior commanders of prison facilities to attend a tailor-made programme on Correction Facilities Management and ICT at GIMI from January 26 to February 6, 2023.

The objective of the course was to provide officers with tools and resources to handle the threats and challenges they face daily in the management of their prisons.

The group enjoyed a fruitful and studious visit to Israel and is now prepared and eager to implement their new knowledge back home in Uganda.

Dr. Muge described the course content and shared his positive experience and thoughts on this specially designed training programme. He emphasized the advantages of tailor-made courses designed by Galilee Institute in an interview with GIMI before returning home. Watch the interview.
