The Governments of India and Israel, have resolved to cooperate and assist each other politically, socially and economically. An emphasis has been placed on the latest Israeli technological innovations and training in Agriculture, Water, Cyber-Security, Education, Ports, Health and National Security. This cooperation will further strengthen the relationship between the two countries and both will stand to benefit. Galilee International Management Institute (GIMI) is honoured to be part of this process. GIMI develops advanced capacity building courses for professional personnel from all over the world. Since our establishment in Israel in 1987, we have received a global reputation as a leading training and capacity-building institute. GIMI proposes to deliver specialised, technological, innovative Israeli training programmes in agriculture, water, cyber-security, higher education, national security and port management to Indian participants with the objective of Skill development leading to job creation and entrepreneurial development in India.

Indeed our President, Dr. Joseph Shevel, returned from India on 20th September, where he had held a series of key meetings with Senior Personnel from various governmental bodies. These meeting were arranged by Mr. Tirthankar Goyal, GIMI's Chief Executive Director for India. The meetings focussed on two different aspects, one being further discussions with state governments and ministries regarding long term training agreements – these talks will be finalised later on this month - and the second regarding the GIMI Board of Trustees allocation of tuition scholarships to each of the national Ministries. This will enable the Ministries to send their personnel to the relevant GIMI programmes.

These meetings and agreements are the latest in our ongoing cooperation with the State of India. Previously, In July, a delegation of senior Galilee Institute personnel met with VIPs ifrom the Government of Gujarat, in Tel Aviv, where three 3 MOUs were signed, for training Indian participants. Additionally, this September, a VIP Delegation from Karnataka comprised of N. S. Shivashankar Reddy, the Minister of Agriculture and MC Manuguli, the Minister of Horticulture, together with Dr. Ravi Tirlapur, Private Secretary and Prof. Dr. Ashok Alur, Special Officer visited Israel. After a cordial meeting in Tel Aviv on 7th September, Dr. Joseph Shevel, President of Galilee International Management Institute invited the Delegation to visit GIMI's Head Office in Nahalal. They graciously accepted and were delighted to discuss cooperation with Dr. Joseph Shevel and Academic Coordinator (Agriculture), Shiri Salant. They also discussed the importance of signing of a training agreement in agriculture, water management and disaster management.
