GIMI's 8-day practical seminar has come to an end. It was attended by a Turkmen delegation comprised of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture’s Committee for Environmental Protection and Use of Natural Resources, the agro-industrial sector of the Parliament of Turkmenistan, the State Committee for Environmental Protection and Land Resources, the Interstate Commission for Sustainable Development of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea and the UNDP.

The programme was delivered by Israeli agricultural practitioners who shared their expertise in organising and managing agriculture and water resources in Israel. The participants visited private farms in various regions; manufacturers of irrigation and greenhouse equipment; a research station and other relevant organisations. Additionally, they were acquainted with the history of the creation of the State of Israel and the kibbutz lifestyle, and enjoyed visiting various historical and tourist attractions. HE Shemi Tzur, the former Israeli Ambassador to Turkmenistan, took part in the Closing Ceremony of the programme.
