This special training opportunity, offered exclusively for women, is part of IMO’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No5 (gender equality) and projects to address the current gender imbalance in maritime.

Study Tours
The programme includes study tours to Israel’s major shipping ports and related organisations.

Programme Fees
The tuition fees are covered by Galilee Institute.
The IMO Fellowship funding covers airfare, accommodation, and full board.
Participants’ flight arrangements will be made by Galilee Institute. To complete an enjoyable and hassle-free experience, Galilee Institute proposes the following non-mandatory, but highly recommended package of services:
Three full day excursions to major historical and holy sites around Israel (meals, guides, entry to sites, transport included), health insurance and facilitation of visa processing and entry procedures to Israel, for a fee of
475 $ US.

- your passport (it MUST be valid for a minimum of 7 months after the intended date of entry to Israel)
- a letter from your employer, confirming availability to participate in the programme in Israel on these dates.

COVID Requirements
Entry to Israel: Israel allows in all tourists regardless of COVID vaccination status.
Participants must adhere to the COVID-19 entry guidelines for foreigners.
COVID-19 requirements are based on Israeli authority’s entrance policies and may be subject to change.
