Air Marshall HB Abubakar is Appointed Chief of Air Staff in Nigeria

We are delighted to congratulate our esteemed GIMI graduate, Air Marshall HB Abubakar, on his recent appointment as the Chief of Air Staff in Nigeria.

He participated in GIMI’s National Security programme in 2022, and we are so proud that he has received this well-deserved recognition, it is a momentous achievement.

The President of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced Air Marshall HB Abubakar as the 22nd Chief of Air Staff on 20 June 2023, and he was subsequently decorated on 31 July 2023.

This remarkable accomplishment is a testament to the dedication and excellence that our GIMI graduates exemplify. We extend our warm regards to Air Marshall HB Abubakar and send him our best wishes for a successful tenure in this prestigious position
