GIMI Graduates: Recipients of the National Hero's Medal, Uganda

We were delighted and proud to hear that, in June 2018, two GIMI graduates received the prestigious National Hero's Medal in Uganda - in recognition of their dedicated service and contribution to national development. Our warmest congratulations to:

Prof. John Ddumba-Ssentamu, Board Chairman, Centenary Bank and former Vice-Chancellor, University of Makerere was awarded the Jubilee Medal during the National Heroes Day Celebrations, 2018. Prof. Ddumba graduated from two GIMI Programmes: Management of Higher Education Institutes and Banking Innovations and Financial Strategies

Mr. Charles Kiyaga, National Diagnostic and Programmes Coordinator, Ministry of Health, Uganda. Mr. Kiyaga is a graduate of GIMI's Health Systems Management Programme and is noted for his pioneering work in early HIV Diagnosis for children.
