Our Holy Land Excursions

Our Holy Land Excursions

Participants studying in Israel enjoy unforgettable, guided weekend tours to the most beautiful and significant sites in Israel.

Jerusalem

Israel is the centre of the world’s three largest monotheistic religions: “The Promised Land” for the Jews, the place of Christ’s ministry, crucifixion and resurrection for the Christians and the place of the Prophet Mohammad’s night ascent to heaven for the Muslims. Nowhere in the country is this felt more than in Jerusalem. This ancient city must be seen to be believed; visitors are immersed in history and culture wherever they turn. Participants will also receive a Pilgrimage Certificate.

Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee

Nazareth is the hometown of Jesus and remains one of the most important Christian sites. It gained significance as a tourist site in the 5th century, when the Church of the Annunciation was built. The tour continues to Capernaum and the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus performed many of his miracles and includes a visit to the Yardenit baptismal site, where participants can immerse themselves in the Jordan River and experience a rededication.

Dead Sea

The Dead Sea is a saline lake located 400 metres (1,300 feet) below sea level - the lowest point on the surface of the earth. Modern medical research confirms that the combination of the minerals and salts has healing properties. Entering the water and touching the mud is highly beneficial for those suffering from skin ailments and joint problems (arthritis, etc). Upon entering the lake you immediately begin to float. It is impossible to sink - a truly unique feeling.

* The above mentioned sites are visited during many of our programmes, however there are occasions when circumstances do not permit.
