Human Resources Management

INTRODUCTION
Since its establishment in 1987, Galillee College has offered management training and capacity building seminars to senior officials and decision makers from around the globe: Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin and North America, the Middle East and the Pacific. Our educational mission is based on a belief that human efficiency is the crucial factor in nations’ reaching their full socio-economic potential. Therefore in every organisation, it is vital that the personnel are trained to their full potential as they are the major key to significant progress.

In today’s rapidly changing and highly competitive environment, the human resource function plays an increasingly important role in an organisation’s ultimate success or failure. Where success was once dependent upon a firm’s ability to discover and manage natural resources; success today goes to the organisations that most effectively discover and manage their human resources.

At the beginning of the 21st century, Human Resource (HR) management is a fast-moving area that requires its practitioners to have much more than simply skills of dealing with people. They are now required to have in-depth understanding of organisational processes in general and a thorough knowledge of their own organisation’s strategies and tactics. Furthermore they are expected to be fully conversant with the requirements of the external marketplace in order to lead the personnel of the company to success.

PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
The Human Resource Management and Development Programme has been designed for HR executives and senior managers with the aim of obtaining the best from their organisation’s human resources. The programme blends a number of areas of academic knowledge in organisational analysis, HR and knowledge management. Additionally powerful tools are presented for analysing and implementing organisational change.

The programme content provides comprehensive coverage of the major HR responsibilities, addressing strategic and operational aspects. The course involves both practical and theoretical considerations in the professional development in the field of HR.  Another benefit of the programme is the opportunity it affords to meet and exchange ideas with colleagues from all over the globe.

Through intensive discussions with like-minded classmates, case studies and workshops directed by expert faculty members, participants will also learn how to implement the latest HR developments in the most beneficial way to their specific organisation or institution.
