Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Nairobi

GIMI President, Dr. Joseph Shevel and Hanit Pollak-Pinto paid a visit to the IEBC Offices in Nairobi to meet with GIMI's Graduates and discuss the ongoing cooperation, specifically to develop programmes about Election Management for Election Managers and Chairpersons of East Africa Election Commissions.

Meeting with Mr. Michael Eldon, Chairman of KCA University Council and Consultant in Nairobi

Dr. Joseph Shevel met with Mr. Mike Eldon, a graduate and a dear friend while in Nairobi. Among the many topics they talked about, was the scholarship offered by GIMI and the joint MBA Programme with KCA University.

Meetings with Turkana County Governor and graduates in Lodwar, Turkana

Dr. Joseph Shevel and Hanit Pollak-Pinto travelled to Lodwar to meet with H.E. Governor Josphat Nanok and the many graduates from both the County Government and County Assembly of Turkana.
There was an agreement to sign an MOU and develop programmes on Water Management, Agriculture, Crisis Management and Tourism.

The Governor of Trans Nzoia County and Graduates in Kitale

Dr. Joseph Shevel and Hanit Pollak-Pinto travelled to Kitale to meet the Governor of Trans Nzoia County and graduates of the Contemporary Public Administration Management programme: Dr. Stanley Tarus, Mr. Henry Kirui and Ms. Grace Werunga.
They agreed on a 2 year programme aiming to double the milk production of Trans Nzoia County based on Capacity Building and Israeli Know-how. Further details will be discussed in the upcoming study visit of the Governor to Israel.

H.E. Mathew Tuitoek, Deputy Governor of Baringo County, Eldoret

H.E. Mathew Tuitoek, a graduate of Galilee Institute paid a courtesy call to Yossie and Hanit while they were in Eldoret. Together they discussed different ways of cooperation with the county and nominations of senior county officials to Galilee Institute's different programmes.

Meeting with Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Mr. Willy Bett and Principal Secretary State Department of Agriculture Dr. Richard Lesiyampe in Eldoret

Mr. Willy Bett and Dr. Lesiyampe met with Yossie and Hanit in Eldoret and discussed cooperation in the Agriculture field. Galilee Institute offered 200 scholarships per year for the next 5 years to the different programmes in the Centre for Agriculture, Environment and Water at GIMI. In addition, discussions also included establishing the first Israeli-Kenyan Agriculture training institute in Samburu County Kenya.

Meeting with Graduates in Bungoma County

After years of cooperation with H.E. Kenneth Lusaka ever since he was the PS of Livestock, Dr. Shevel and Hanit decided to pay a courtesy call in Bungoma County and also meet with some graduates and other members of the County Government.

Busia County

GIMI agreed to sign an MOU for cooperation on Fisheries and Aquaculture and invited the Governor to head a delegation of senior officials from Busia County Government and the County Assembly to attend a special study visit.

The Governor was delighted to know about the list of alumni from Kisumu County Government who has attended Galilee Institute's different programmes.
Together we came up with a programme on Dairy and Fisheries based on Training of Trainers from Kisumu.

Hanit's Visit to Samburu
Hanit travelled to Samburu for the first time to meet with the senior graduates of Galilee Institute and the Governor. The warm reception included dinner followed by discussions on the establishment of the first Kenyan-Israeli Training Institute in Samburu County. Hanit invited the Governor to head a delegation and travel to Israel to sign the MOU with presence of PS Agriculture Dr. Lesiyampe.
